The Parañaque City government conducted lectures about online cyber security on Tuesday, Sept. 12, at the Parañaque City Sports Complex.

Mayor Eric Olivarez attended the program to show support to the campaign against cyber security crimes that are affecting and being experienced by citizens.
Olivarez said the lecture is very important since cyber crime is already prevalent in our digital world.
He also said the lecture aimed to raise citizens' awareness and knowledge on what to do to be safe in the cyber world.
The Philippine National Police- Anti Cyber Crime Division chief Captain Jeremiah James Cajayon also shared some cases on cyber crime during the lecture.
The mayor expressed his gratitude to the officials from the Department of Justice (DOJ) Parole and Probation Office from Las Piñas, Makati, Muntilupa, Parañaque and Pasay for leading the lecture in the city.
Olivarez also thanked the Parole and Probation Office of Parañaque, under Chief Probation and Parole Officer Alberto Ong, for coming up with such a program.
