The Office of Parañaque City District 1 Representative Edwin Olivarez conducted an orientation to 133 beneficiaries of Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa ating mga Displaced/Disadvantage Worker (TUPAD) on Tuesday, Sept. 12.

City Mayor Eric Olivarez said that TUPAD is one of the priority projects of his brother, Rep. Olivarez, to help the residents serve their community for 14 days.
Mayor Olivarez said the 133 beneficiaries, who came from different barangays in District 1, will be deployed to different schools and will receive P610 per day or a total of P8,540 for 14 days.
The project of Rep. Olivarez was done in coordination with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).
The mayor announced that aside from the national government’s TUPAD project, the city government will also have its own version of the program next year after the City Council approved Ordinance No. 59, or the “Special Employment Program for Disadvantaged Parañaquenos," sponsored by Councilor Pablo “Pao” Olivarez.
The mayor said the ordinance aims to give emergency employment to displaced workers, underemployed, and seasonal workers.
