ICYMI: Shin Ramyun launches a new ramyeon flavor in collaboration with Thai chef Jay Fai

The Michelin-starred culinary master gives your favorite Korean instant noodle a Thai twist

Apart from the classic Hallyu eats such as bibimbap, japchae, and samgyeopsal, what Filipinos can’t get enough of are Korean instant noodles. And whenever there’s a craving for it, one of Pinoys' go-tos is Shin Ramyun by Nongshim. This time, the South Korean ramyeon brand introduces a new flavor.

In partnership with Thai chef Supinya Junsuta, a.k.a. Jay Fai, Shin Ramyun unveils its newest take on ramyeon, this time, in tom yum flavor. Tom yum is a popular hot and sour soup in Thailand, which is made of galangal, fresh shrimps, lemongrass, fish sauce, and kaffir lime leaves, among others.

Recently, Jay Fai visited the Gumi Nongshim plant where she met South Korean actor Park Bo-gum. The one Michelin-starred chef is known for her iconic crab omelets and her appearance in Netflix’s “Street Food” documentary series.

Currently, the Jay Fai x Nongshim collaboration is only available in Thailand. Hopefully, its tom yum-flavored ramyeon will be available in the Philippines soon.
