9 felons arrested in Nueva Ecija police anti-crime campaign
CABANATUAN CITY – Police arrests nine felons and seized loose firearms and a vintage bomb in Nueva Ecija on Tuesday, September 12.
The Talugtug Municipal Police Station implemented a search warrant in Barangay Alula against a farmer and seized a caliber .38 and eight bullets from the suspect who now faces criminal complaints for violation of Republic Act 10591 (Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition) and the Omnibus Election Code.
In Barangay Dolores, Santo Domingo, a man was arrested for playing illegal card games but his companions escaped. Suspect faces charges for violation of Presidential Decree 1602 (illegal gambling).
Seven wanted persons were nabbed during “Manhunt Charlie” operations for direct assault, violation of RA 7610 (anti-child abuse law), RA 9262 (anti-violence against women and children law), cybercrime, and estafa.
A concerned citizen surrendered a caliber .32 pistol to the Laur police under the Philippine National Police “Balik-Baril” program.
The Science City of Muñoz police and the Nueva Ecija-Provincial Explosives Ordnance Disposal and Canine Unit recovered the vintage bomb in a construction site in Barangay Poblacion East, Science City of Muñoz.
