Woman robbed while live selling in Laguna

SANTA ROSA CITY, Laguna – A woman was robbed while selling online in her shop in Barangay Dita here on September 4.

In a live video, the victim, Agnes Serafica, 52, could be seen selling bags and clothes at around 2 p.m. when a man wearing a helmet interrupted her.

The suspect flipped the cellphone she was using for the live stream but their conversation can still be heard.

He forced the victim to the ground, demanded money, and threatened to shoot her if she did not comply.

When the suspect failed to find any money, he took the victim's jewelry, with an estimated value of P100,000, and the cellphone used for the live stream.

Police discovered that the suspect had an accomplice who acted as a lookout outside the shop in a follow-up investigation.

Suspects were identified through surveillance footage as they fled onboard on a motorcycle.

They later surrendered and one of the suspects turned out to be neighbor of the victim.
