Rider shot dead in Batangas

SAN JUAN, Batangas – A 35-year-old rider was gunned down in front of a restaurant on the national highway in Barangay Buhay na Sapat, this municipality, on Monday morning, September 11.

Police identified the victim Angelito Punzalan, a resident of Barangay Ticalan, this town.

Investigation said that the victim was onboard his motorcycle and stopped by in front of a restaurant.

Two men onboard a car nearby alighted and fired multiple shots at him.

The suspects fled and Punzalan was taken to a hospital here where he was declared dead due to bullet wounds.

Police recovered three fired caliber .45 cartridge cases in the crime scene.

Lawmen are conducting follow-up investigation.
