CEBU CITY – A 36-year-old pregnant woman was killed in a vehicular accident in Carmen town, northern Cebu on Monday afternoon, September 11.
Police identified the fatality as Nelia Tacocong.
Police Capt. Charlie Santiago, chief of the Carmen Police Station, said Tacocong was the back rider of a motorcycle driven by her live-partner Dennis Badayos.
The accident happened around 5 p.m. on the national highway in Barangay Poblacion, police said.
Police are still investigating what caused the accident.
The couple was found slumped on the side of the road when rescuers arrived.
They were taken to a hospital in Danao City where the woman and her were declared dead by attending doctors.
