Dark League Studios is bolstering its mission to create more opportunities for aspiring Esports players in the country by providing platforms to showcase their skills.

AC Valdenor, CEO of Dark League Studios, said they needed to press the right buttons to make sure the fast-growing sport, which now has 53 games in the country, will continue to flourish.
“We will open possible careers for them,” Valdenor said during the PSA Forum on Tuesday, Sept. 12.
“It’s now becoming the bread and butter for their families. We have stories and that has become an inspiration to some children,” he added.
Joined by brand manager Dan Cubangay, Valdenor said Dark League Studios currently has three pillars under its wings: the PBA Esports through its member ballclubs, Estudyante Esports and Smart GIGA Arena.
“We started the PBA Esports last January with each team having two players, two influencers, then the members, the fans. The PBA board was extremely excited because we are bringing the PBA closer to the younger generation,” said Valdenor.
Cubangay, meanwhile, added promoting Esports (Call of Duty, Mobile Legends and DOTA, among others) through the help of the different schools, colleges and universities is also part of their program.
They are also trying to boost their partnerships with the schools leading to a national league, then a Southeast Asian league.
“Through the PBA Esports we can create careers and aspirations. And hindi lang si PBA ang nag-benefit but Esports as well. Na-elevate yung Esports competition by providing it a professional stage,” Cabungay said.
The PBA Esports will resume on Sept. 16 to be followed by the Ultimate Battleground Championships on Oct. 30.
