SAMPALOC, Quezon – A farmer who allegedly killed his live-in partner here on September 8 was found dead in Sitio Maladyangao, Barangay Caldong, this town, on Monday morning, September 11.
Police identified the suspect as Josue Callejo, 53, a resident of Barangay San Isidro, this town.
Lawmen discovered Callejos’ body in a follow-up operation under a santol or cotton fruit tree with a broken rope tied around his neck with the end tied to a branch of the tree.
Callejo stabbed the victim Lorena Maglaya, an Overseas Filipino Worker, to death at the height of a heated argument between them at their residence.
The suspect fled after the incident and was the subject of a police manhunt after a murder case was filed against him.
Police said Callejo left a message saying that that he will follow Maglaya to the afterlife after her death.
