2 goat thieves collared after crashing getaway vehicle

CAVITE – Authorities arrested two men who allegedly stole a goat in Imus City on Monday, Sept. 11.
The Cavite Police Provincial Office (PPO) identified the suspects as Rjay N. Perea and Noriel G. Villa. Another male suspect who fled the crime scene has yet to be identified.
Initial investigation showed that the complainant allegedly caught the suspects taking his goat from a rice field and loading it inside a tricycle before bolting from the scene.
The complainant immediately sought help from a traffic enforcer who chased after the suspects.
During the chase, however, the suspects figured in an accident and suffered multiple injuries.
Perea and Villa were rushed to Ospital ng Imus to get medical treatment and were subsequently placed under hospital arrest.
Imus City Police Station operatives recovered the stolen goat and confiscated the tricycle used as a getaway vehicle.
They are now conducting a follow-up operation to arrest the third suspect.
