Man walking on dike in Batangas City shot dead

BATANGAS CITY – A 32-year-old man was shot dead while walking on a river dike in Barangay Wawa here on Sunday evening, September 10.

Police identified the victim as Raymart Dapula Rebadio, a resident of Barangay Malitam, this town.

Initial investigation said Rebadio was walking at about 7:20 p.m. on the Calumpang River dike when the suspects – Andales Damian, 64, a resident of Barangay Wawa; Roderick Mendoza Rebadio, a resident of Barangay Malitam 3, and a John Doe – appeared and shot the victim.

Raymart died on the spot due to bullet wounds and the suspects ran toward the residential area of Barangay Wawa.

Damian was arrested in a dragnet operation while Roderick and John Doe are still at large and the subject of a manhunt operation.

Police are conducting follow-up investigation.
