The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) announced on Sunday, Sept. 10, that it has launched an investigation on the road accident involving an ambulance and a passenger bus along Epifanio Delos Santos Avenue (EDSA) on Thursday, Sept. 7, which left one man injured.
QCPD said the incident happened at around 11:30 on Thursday, where both vehicles were traversing the northbound lane of the said thoroughfare going to Kamias Road.
Upon reaching the front of the Baliwag Bus Terminal in Barangay E. Rodriguez, the right front side portion of the Volvo City passenger bus, driven by Rolly Torres, 47, and the left side portion of the Nissan Urvan Ambulance suddenly bumped into each other.

The bus then hit the concrete barriers placed by the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) along the road.
Authorities have yet to determine the cost of damages to property caused by the incident.
The driver of the ambulance, Oliver Subaran, 46, sustained multiple injuries and was rushed to the East Avenue Medical Medical Center for treatment.
QCPD Director Brig. Gen. Redrico Maranan said the drivers of the vehicles will be filing appropriate charges against each other while investigation on the incident is on going.
“Muli kong pinapaalahanan ang publiko na mahigpit na paiiralin ng pulisya ang mga batas trapiko upang makaiwas sa anumang disgrasya para sa kaligtasan at seguridad ng mga pasahero at motorista (I remind the public again that the police will strictly enforce traffic laws to avoid any mishap for the safety and security of passengers and motorists),” he said.
