Parañaque Peace and Order Council discuss CCTV use in public places
Parañaque City Mayor Eric Olivarez led the city’s Peace and Order Council (POCC) meeting to discuss the installation of closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras in all business establishments around the city.

Olivarez, who is the chairman of the POCC, discussed the importance of installing the CCTV cameras in public spaces, particularly businesses, based on City Ordinance No. 14-03.
He said the ordinance, signed by his brother, former city mayor and incumbent Representative Edwin Olivarez, will help the local police in their investigations and solve crimes.
The initiative is also part of the city government’s plan to fight criminality and ensure peace and order around the community.
Members of the council comprising of the local police, Parañaque Anti-Drug Abuse Office, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, and Bureau of Fire Protection also presented their respective accomplishment reports to the mayor.
Olivarez wanted the council to work hard to ensure the safety of residents from any lawless elements.
