Also in attendance during the dinner was Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea.
Go, who shared photos of their meeting on his Facebook post on September 9 at 9 a.m., titled the meeting as “Mga Lingkod-Bayan.”
According to the senator, they had a fun conversation as they reminisced the times they worked together in the government.
“Naging masaya ang kwentuhan at nagbalik-tanaw sila sa mga panahong nagkasama sila sa pagtatrabaho sa gobyerno (We had a fun conversation and they looked back during the times they served in government),” Go said in his Facebook post.
“Iba-iba man ang pinanggalingan, iba’t ibang posisyon man ang hinawakan, iisa ang hangarin para paglingkuran ang sambayanang Pilipino (Even though they come from different backgrounds, even if they held different positions, they have the same desire to serve the Filipino people),” he further said.
Go also said it was also an opportunity for Allen Arat Capuyan, former National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) chair and former (National Task Force to End Local Communist Army (NTF-ELCAC) executive director, to have a meeting with former President Duterte.
Arroyo, House Deputy Speaker, served as president from 2001 to 2010, while Duterte became the country’s leader from 2016 to 2022.
Sotto, on the other hand, ended his term in the Senate last year, 2022 after he lost in the vice presidential race.
