In a series of touching photos posted by veteran sports journalist Quinito Henson on social media on Sunday, Sept. 10, Engelland was seen holding Lim’s hand and kissing him on the forehead.

“A touching visit by Chip Engelland to show his love and concern for former teammate Samboy Lim!” Henson wrote.

“Everyone was teary-eyed including Samboy as Chip held his hand, kissed him and repeatedly said I love you, brother!”

The visit also came a few days after Engelland reunited with former teammates in the national basketball team that included Allan Caidic.

Also there were Hector Calma, Rep. Franz Pumaren, Elmer Reyes, Tonichi Yturri, Peter Aguilar, Jong Uichico, Jerry Codinera and Englland’s fellow naturalized player Jeff Moore.

Engelland became a naturalized Filipino citizen where he was a member of the Philippine team under the sponsorship of Northern Cement Corp. that captured the 1985 Jones Cup.
