The Parañaque City government distributed school materials to 500 children on Sept. 7 at the Villanueva Village in Barangay San Dionisio.

According to Mayor Eric Olivarez, the beneficiaries of the school supplies were underprivileged children, child abuse victims, and children-at-risk.
Olivarez said the distribution is part of the city government’s commitment to provide children with the necessary school materials to help in their studies for this academic year.
The children were given school bags, lunch boxes, plastic tumblers, notebooks, papers, crayons, ballpens, pencial erasers, staplers, scissors and pencil pouches, he added.
The project was made possible through the help of the City Social Welfare and Development Department, headed by Vivian Gabriel.
