Tornado damages 21 houses in Ilocos Sur

VIGAN CITY, Ilocos Sur – Twenty-one houses were partially damaged by a tornado that struck San Vicente and San Ildefonso, this province, on Thursday.

Reygee Rocero, Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) of San Vicente, said 18 houses were partially damaged in Barangay Lubong. Hardest hit was the house of Barangay Chairman Cristobal Remalos.

The tornado made its way to San Ildefonso and partially damaged at least three houses in Poblacion East.

Rocero said that 24 individuals were affected by the tornado.

No injury or casualty was reported from the tornado.
