P638,000 shabu seized in Lucena

LUCENA CITY, Quezon – Authorities arrested two suspected drug pushers and seized shabu worth P638,000 in a buy-bust operation here on Thursday, August 31.

Quezon police chief Police Col. Ledon Monte identified the suspects as Mark Joseph Campomanes, 40, and Arnel Ibanez, tagged as high-value individuals.

Suspects yielded 12 plastic sachets of suspected shabu weighing 31.3 grams with an estimated value of P638,520 and the boodle money.

Monte cited the duo’s arrest.

“With the arrest of the suspects, I commend the Quezon police force for their diligence and dedication in their sworn duty," Monte said.

Campomanes and Ibanez face cases for violation of Republic Act (RA) 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2022 and they are now under the custody of the Lucena police custodial facility.
