'May nanalo na': Cong Pimentel shares selfie with Jose Mari Chan

While everybody has been busy sharing memes about Jose Mari Chan with the entry of "ber" months, Surigao del Sur 2nd district Rep. Johnny Pimentel outdid everyone by snapping a selfie with the legendary singer himself.

While everybody has been busy sharing memes about Jose Mari Chan with the entry of "ber" months, Surigao del Sur 2nd district Rep. Johnny Pimentel outdid everyone by snapping a selfie with the legendary singer himself.

Pimentel shared his selfie with Chan on Facebook Friday, Sept. 1, which in the Philippines is the unofficial start of the long Christmas season.

Chan is synomous with Christmas in the country, thanks to his immortal hit, "Christmas In Our Hearts". The song was released way back in 1990.

"What's a better way to meet and greet the first Ber-month September than to share it with Philippines' Christmas pop icon," read Pimentel's post.

"Indeed 'simple pleasures are made special too... when they're shared with you,'" it added, lifting a line from--strangely enough--a different Christmas song by Chan.

Pimentel is an assistant minority leader of the power Commission on Appointments (CA).
