BACOLOD CITY – A family of five allegedly stabbed a drunken man to death in Barangay Montilla, Moises Padilla, Negros Occidental on Thursday, August 31.
Police identified the victim as 22-year-old Manuel Tobias of Barangay Montilla.
Police Major Jovito Bose, Moises Padilla police chief, said the victim and the Niepes family figured in a heated argument in a videoke bar.
Tobias went home but the Niepeses followed him to his house and ordered him to go out.
He went out of his house but a rumble occurred wherein he was stabbed multiple times.
The victim was taken to a hospital where he was declared dead.
Two of the five suspects – Alberto, 50, and his son Ronel, 31 – were arrested in a hospital while being treated for injuries in the commotion.
Alberto’s three sons are still at large.
