Here's what you need to know about the 'One Piece' live-action series
8 episodes to explore its first season

The highly anticipated "One Piece" live-action adaptation series premiered on Netflix, Aug. 31, offering fans and new viewers the opportunity to explore a world of pirates, treasures, and unknown seas from their screens.

Based on Japan’s highest-selling manga series in history by Eiichiro Oda, the series follows the adventures of main character, Monkey D. Luffy, who has dreams to becoming the next Pirate King by finding the treasure known as the “One Piece.”

The live-action series will have eight episodes to explore its first season, starring Iñaki Godoy as Luffy, Mackenyu as Roronoa Zoro, Emily Rudd as Nami, Jacob Romero Gibson as Usopp, and Taz Skylar as Sanji.
MB Lifestyle Online was present at the advanced screening of the first episode of the One Piece live-action adaptation at SM Mall of Asia on Aug. 30.

A “One Piece” installation was also set up, where fans and guests had the opportunity to interact and take a photo at the SM MOA Atrium.
