The Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) announced that the dry-run for the implementation of contactless toll collection already began in select toll plazas beginning Friday, Sept. 1.

In an advisory, the TRB said that the dry run of the contactless toll collection through the AutoSweep and EasyTrip RFID stickers will be implemented in batches “for a smooth and efficient implementation.”

These are the toll plazas included in the first batch:

AutoSweep Subscribers

  • NAIA Expressway (NAIA Main Alpha)
  • South Metro Manila Skyway Stage 1 & 2 (Nichols Entry and Exit; C5 Entry & Exit)
  • Metro Manila Skyway Stage 3 (Del Monte NB Alpha)
  • South Luzon Expressway (Mamplasan NB Entry and Exit; Silangan SB Entry and Exit)
  • STAR Tollway (Tanauan NB Entry)
  • Muntinlupa-Cavite Expressway
  • Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway (Victoria)

EasyTrip Subscribers

  • Cavite-Laguna Expressway (Technopark Toll Plaza; Laguna Boulevard A Toll Plaza)
  • Manila-Cavite Toll Expressway – C5 Southlink (Taguig Toll Plaza; Mervilla Toll Plaza)

For other toll plazas, the TRB said that they shall continue to collect tolls thru the electronic toll collection (ETC) RFID lanes and cash lanes.

“On the participating toll plazas, motorists with no RFID stickers shall be directed to a safe place/location where he/she can pay the toll fees in cash, and shall be persuaded to have an RFID sticker installed,” the TRB said.

The TRB noted that cash payment of toll fees is still allowed although they encouraged motorists to switch to the use of RFID stickers to pay toll fees “for a faster and more convenient entry and exit at the toll plazas.”
