BACOLOD CITY – A suspected drug pusher was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Purok Progreso Village II, Barangay Vista Alegre here on Friday, September 1.

Police identified the suspect as Justin Gayoso, 27, of Barangay Vista Alegre, a high-value individual and a regional priority target-listed drug personality in Western Visayas .

Gayoso yielded 253 grams of suspected shabu worth P1,720,400, P2,000 marked money, and P170.

The suspect was arrested in 2017 for drug pushing and was released through plea bargaining in 2020, according to a report from Police Regional Office (PRO)-Western Visayas.

Brig. Gen. Sidney Villaflor, PRO-Western Visayas director, said that this accomplishment is a result of the strengthened anti-illegal drugs campaign of PRO-Western Visayas, by having intelligence-driven anti-illegal drug operations in this city, as well as the never-ending support of the community on the programs and campaigns of the Philippine National Police (PNP).
