Ticket bought in Mandaue City yields new Ultra Lotto winner

The P87,051,450.20 Ultra Lotto 6/58 jackpot was won by a single lucky bettor from Mandaue City in Cebu province.

The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) on Wednesday, Aug. 9 said the bettor correctly guessed the 18-22-30-55-26-05 winning number combination.

Meanwhile, PCSO said that since the jackpot prize exceeded P10,000, it will be subject to a 20 percent tax deduction under the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion or TRAIN Law.

It also noted that if the prize remains unclaimed within one year, it will be forfeited to the PCSO Charity Fund under Republic Act 1169 or the PCSO Charter.

The next Ultra Lotto draw will be on Aug. 11. (Sonny Daanoy)
