Shopee Philippines partners with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) for the 4th time for the annual ASEAN Online Sale Day, which will run from August 8 to August 22. Hosted region-wide, Shopee will offer its users various vouchers and exclusive products from local sellers featuring multiple local and Asian products. Users can shop on Shopee’s ASEAN Online Sale Day featured collections: Southeast Asian Delicacies, Asian Beauty Picks, Gadgets & Gizmos, Modern Asian Home, and Asian Fashion Finds. Shoppers can also support locally through Shopee’s #TatakPinoy, celebrating various local sellers in Asian Fashion, Home & Lifestyle, and Southeast Asian Delicacies.

The successive collaborations between Shopee and the DTI are firmly rooted in their shared goal to uplift the e-commerce industry in the ASEAN region while providing a broad and accessible range of products to Filipinos and increasing the online presence of sellers.

“The renewed partnership with the DTI for the ASEAN Online Sale Day serves as an avenue for Shopee to continuously give back to our local sellers, further elevating the shopping experience for our users with a diverse product range from our sellers,” said Vincent Lee, Head of Shopee Philippines. “We once again remain rooted in our goal to continuously provide new opportunities for local MSMEs to grow their businesses.”

With this, Shopee reaffirms its commitment to supporting locals in the e-commerce marketplace, striving to empower them through its various campaigns and platform features. These constant initiatives aim to provide conducive spaces for local sellers to grow, aligning with ASEAN Online Sale Day’s goal to maximize online shopping platforms and diversify the network it operates.

“Currently in its fourth year, the ASEAN Online Sale Day highlights the DTI’s efforts to grow the Philippine e-commerce landscape, made possible with Shopee’s partnership. We are grateful once again for the opportunity to help our local e-commerce sector expand their online presence via the Shopee platform, driving economic growth and greater service to all Filipinos,” said Ms. Marievic Bonoan, Director of the Bureau of Domestic Trade Promotion at the DTI.
