PROUD MOM! Sylvia Sanchez congratulates daughter as group wins at World Hip Hop Dance Championship 2023


Sylvia Sanchez is one proud mama!

On Instagram, she happily greeted her daughter, Gela Atayde, after their dance group Legit Status, snatched the World Champion trophy in the World Hip Hop Dance Championship 2023 under the Megacrew Division.

Sylvia uploaded on social media pictures of Gela posing with their trophy and medal.

The veteran star wrote: "All the hard work & sacrifices paid off!"

 

"Congratulations to UP Streetdance and of course to Legit Status coach @vimirivera for winning the World Hiphop Champion 2023 in Phoenix Arizona," she added.

"Shout out to my Daughter @gelaatayde Me, your Dad and your Siblings and the entire Atayde and Campo Families are super proud of you!!!! Your focus and determination inspires us. You’re a winner!!! We love you Gelatin."

According to Sylvia, Gela has been dreaming about making a mark in the competition all her life.

On their official account, World Hip Hop Dance Championship is described as the "world’s most celebrated dance event" where "Crews from 55+ countries compete to capture the world title and international bragging rights while hip hop icons, artists and celebrities make appearances and perform."

The results were uploaded on social media.

There, Legit Status won their category with 7.81. 

They were followed by Dominican Republic's Darepublik and Philippines' UP Street Dance who got 7.77 and 7.74, respectively.

Meanwhile, the Philippines' HQ also won the Adult division with .01 difference from Australia's Sweet Feet's 7.58.
