Police seize more than P700,000 'shabu' in Malabon, Navotas


Operatives of the Northern Police District (NPD) seized more than P700,000 worth of alleged shabu in two separate buy-bust operations in Malabon City on Sunday, Aug 6, and in Navotas City on Tuesday, Aug. 8.

Police identified three of the arrested suspects as Esmeralda Reyes alias Esmer, 49; Joseph Givero Jr., also known as Wally, 43; and Garry Enriquez, 35.

They were nabbed by members of teh Malabon City Police Station-Station Drug Enforcement Unit (MCPS-SDEU) in an entrapment operation on C. Arellano St. in Barangay San Agustin, Malabon City, around 5 a.m. on Aug. 6.

Confiscated from the suspects were around 53.3 grams of alleged “shabu” with a street value of P362,440, a black pouch, and the buy-bust money.

Meanwhile, Navotas City Police Station- Station Drug Enforcement Unit (NCPS-SDEU) operatives arrested Aldrian Jocson, 21, in another buy-bust on M.Naval St. in Barangay Sipac Almacen, Navotas City, around 11:20 p.m on Tuesday.

Seized from the suspect were around 52 grams of “shabu” worth P353,600 and the buy-bust money.

Confiscated pieces of evidence were turned over to the SDEU office for documentation.

The arrested suspects will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, police said.
