Pop legends Leah Navarro and Marco Sison will join the lineup of all-star performers in “Tugtugan Sitenta 2” — a repeat of the successful concert tribute to ’70s Original Pilipino Music (OPM) on Sept. 15 at 8 p.m. at the Newport Performing Arts Theater, Newport World Resorts, Pasay City.

The show also features Nonoy Tan and Rey Magtoto of Wadab, Boyfriends lead vocalist Joey Abando, Mon Espia of Labuyo, Male Rigor and Monet Gaskell of VST & Co., Sampaguita, Mike Hanopol, and Pete Gatela, Carlos Parsons and Yujin Baydal of Hagibis.

Navarro was in her teens in the late ’70s and still in school at Assumption College in Makati when she broke into the burgeoning local music scene and found success as a performing and recording artist.

In 1980, her rendition of Nonong Pedero’s “Isang Mundo, Isang Awit” won the grand prize at the 3rd Metro Manila Pop Music Festival.

Sison likewise drew attention in the ’70s— first as singing contest champion on Student Canteen, and then as a major recording artist with hit singles including “Make Believe,” “My Love Will See You Through,” and “Si Aida, o Si Lorna o Si Fe.”

Tickets to “Tugtugan Sitenta 2,” presented by the Zonta Club of Makati Ayala and Rotary Club of Makati San Lorenzo in cooperation with Newport World Resorts, are available at all TicketWorld Outlets and at the Newport World Resorts Box Office.
