Herlene Budol retracts statement on pageantry journey

Beauty queen Herlene Budol's pageantry journey is not yet finished.

This is what she reiterated recently, an obvious u-turn from an earlier pronouncement about her "signing off" from beauty pageants.

Herlene explained that her "signing off" statement is actually meant to be understood as a "pause." 

She related in the "Not Gonna Lie" segment of “Dapat Alam Mo," "Sinabi ko po na ‘I’m signing off’ kasi wala pa po akong Miss Philippines Tourism (competition) na ipagdadayo ko po. Kumbaga, wala pa pong franchise na kukuha d’un sa international (title) na paglalabanan ko." 

“After n’un, baka magpahinga po ako at papagalingin ko na lang muna yung sarili ko. Mag-focus po muna ako sa kung anong meron ako ngayon. Magpapatalino po ako at tsaka nagpe-pray” she added.

Recall that in a vlog, the GMA star broke down talking about her stint at Miss Grand Philippines 2023.

She said: “Nakakatatlong pageant na pero hindi pa rin po puwede. Ibig sabihin, huwag na natin ngang ipilit. Ibig sabihin po nun, ako po si Herlene Nicole Budol na nagsasabing, ‘Sorry, Pilipinas. This is my last pageant. Ba-bye. Herlene Nicole Budol, I’m signing off.’”
