Driver wanted for attempted murder nabbed in Parañaque

A driver wanted for attempted murder was arrested by members of the Parañaque Warrant and Subpoena Section (WSS) during a manhunt operation on Tuesday, Aug. 8.

The Southern Police District (SPD) said the suspect was identified as Rodel Barriatos, 42, tagged as the seventh wanted person for the third quarter of 2023.

Barriatos was arrested at around 1:00 p.m. along Fila Drive in Sucat, Barangay San Antonio.

Reports showed that the suspect was arrested by virtue of a warrant issued by Judge Leilani Marie Dacanay-Grimares of Parañaque Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 294 on August 7, 2023 with a recommended bail of  P120,000. 

The police said the suspect was immediately detained at the police custodial facility after his arrest.
