A delivery rider from Bulacan brought joy and fun to netizens when he did a duet with a customer he was delivering a package to whom he chanced upon singing and was oblivious to his presence at the door.
Louie Lopez uploaded a video on his Tiktok account on Aug. 4 showing him holding a package for his customer, Edna Yerro.
Lopez caught Yerro singing inside her house with earphones on.
He tried to get her attention several times by saying, "Delivery po (Your delivery is here)," but Nanay Edna was so focused on her phone while singing the song "Love me for what I am."
Instead of raising his voice so that Edna could hear and notice him, Lopez just sang along with her, which amused netizens.
Lopez captioned his video, "Title of this song, I must be delivery from J&T."
The rider was still trying to get Nanay Edna's attention in between their duets. Lopez alternated the song's lyrics with his "Delivery po, J&T po (Delivery from J&T)."
"Delivery po, J&T po, ma'am. Tapusin n'yo po, ma'am? (Deliver from J&T, ma'am. Will you finish the song?)," Lopez asked even though Edna still had not noticed his presence.
At the end of the video, Nanay Edna finally noticed Lopez and immediately stood up to receive her parcel. Lopez asked her, "Tapos na po? Thank you po (have you finished singing, ma'am? Thank you)."
Netizens were impressed by the rider's patience when he waited for the song to end so that Nanay Edna could receive her parcel.
Tiktok user @vanessarheya said: "Bagong earphone siguro yung parcel niya (Her parcel must be new earphones)."
Some Tiktok users commented: "J&T, Jamming ng Tanghalan", "The best 'proof of delivery' so far, "introvert delivery guy be like", "yung nagdeliver ka lang, napa-karaoke ka pa bigla (When you were just supposed to deliver but you ended up doing karaoke)."
