Actor Rocco Nacino recently shared a reel on Instagram, emphasizing the importance for parents to constantly watch over their children after his nine-month-old son Ezren Rafaello (EZ), accidentally fell on a table.
"So, I just had my first scare of my life. Just a few minutes ago, hawak-hawak ko si EZ dito sa table na ito. I reached over para patayin 'yung isang lamok. Sa isang iglap, EZ chose to lean over to the side dito sa edge," he narrates.
Fortunately, the actor successfully held EZ's foot, preventing a potentially more severe fall.
"Nalaglag siya, pero nasalo ko 'yung paa ni EZ," he recalled, adding, "Naiiyak ako ngayon. Reaching out to all the new parents out there. As they grow bigger, older, lalo din lumalaki ‘yung dangers that come along the way. Thinking about it, kapag hindi ko siya nasalo, baka na-ospital pa kami."
After the close call, the actor, who is also a nurse, points out the importance of parents prioritizing quality time with their children instead of getting preoccupied with their phones. He urges new parents to learn from his mistake and avoid making a similar one.
"Parents always keep an eye out on your children. Stop being on your phones. It's playtime with your kids. Playtime with them. Don't make the mistake I did. Be safe," he ended.
