P100,000 reward offered for info on Caunda Drug Group leader

BACOLOD CITY – The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) has offered a cash reward of P100,000 to anyone who could provide information that could lead to the arrest of a member or the leader of the Caunda Drug Group.

Police Col. Noel Aliño, Bacolod City police director, made the statement following the confiscation of P8.8 million worth of suspected shabu from a member of the drug group and her two cohorts on Thursday, August 3.

Aliño said they are targeting to determine the roots of the recovered illegal drugs here. Thus, B-Aid was launched to intensify the anti-drug campaign of the BCPO through continuous intelligence operations.

He said that the apprehension of Gycelle Bonagua, 31, of Angeles City, Pampanga; and her alleged cohorts Michael Ramos, 43, of Antipolo, Rizal; and Rizald Lapag, 33, of Barangay 4 here, stemmed from the intelligence-driven operation of Police Station 8, which will be receiving P50,000 reward.

He said that the drug problem does not end on the apprehension of drug personalities, but on identifying its links, sources, and possible protectors.

On June 2, the sub-group leader of the Caunda Drug Group was arrested for drug charges in Compostela town in Cebu province.

Police records showed that Cader Chisno Magondacan was arrested through an arrest warrant issued by Regional Trial Court Branch 41 acting Presiding Judge Phoebe Gargantiel-Balbin on June 17, 2020.
