MPD will set up 75 Police Assistance Desks (PADs) near the gates of the universities and public schools in Manila to intensify visibility and prioritize the security of students with night classes.
Dizon said 210 of the deployed policemen will be assigned at the assistance desk, while 524 for mobile and foot patrolling units near the school premises.
He added that parents and students may also report security concerns at the assistance desks.
Meanwhile, 71 personnel will be assigned to Tactical Motorcycle Riding Unit (TMRU), 59 to the intelligence unit, and 12 personnel with K9 drug-sniffing dogs to the explosive ordinance disposal (EOD) unit.
MPD also noted that it anticipates receiving additional operational guidelines and procedures from the Philippine National Police (PNP).
