"We are aiming for data-driven governance that will firm up our decisions and policies for the good of our people,” said Mayor Jerry Treñas.

The DILG is recruiting respondents from 30 barangays for the Citizen Satisfaction Index System (CSIS), a tool to gather relevant data and information on citizens needs and empower local governments to align local policies to be responsive to the needs of the ultimate beneficiaries.

“We understand the importance of data in all our programs and projects and the help it can give us to better manage the entire city I thank the DILG for including us in this endeavor," added Treñas.

The CSIS data gathering will be held on August 20, 21, 27, and 28.  It will select five random respondents from the 30 barangays.

Prior to the survey later this month, key departments and offices at the Iloilo City Hall were asked to answer a separate survey for Service Delivery Baseline Data Collection, including implemented programs, projects, and activities for the past year.

The DILG’s educational institutional partner for the CSIS is West Visayas State University (WVSU).
