The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Monday, August 7, warned the public against spurious websites claiming to facilitate e-Visa applications for entry to the Philippines.
Discovering that an active website containing misinformation about the e-Visa and other related regulations is operating, the DFA reminded the public that relevant information will only be posted on the agency’s official channels.
It added that the e-Visa system has yet to be rolled out.
“As announced in its press briefing on 26 July 2023, the Philippine e-Visa system will be soft-launched in Philippine Foreign Service Posts in China on 24 August 2023,” the agency said.
Currently, the Philippine e-Visa system is still being developed and refined in partnership with the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT).
