CEU Accountancy student pulls off BIR's search for the Philippines' Brightest Buwis Masters regional level
She secured the 2nd runner-up spot

Centro Escolar University School of Accountancy student Joane Kazaira Biaco secured the second runner-up spot in the search for the Philippines’ Brightest Buwis Masters (PBBM) regional level organized by the Bureau of Internal Revenue.

Joane Kazaira Biaco, a 4th year Bachelor of Science in Accountancy student battled against other college students on two rounds of Tax Quiz, primarily focused on income, value-added, and percentage taxes, along with taxpayer registration requirements.
The competition’s objective is to promote awareness and understanding of the country’s tax laws and regulations among the youth sector being the future taxpayers of the country, and also to equip them with the necessary skills that will enable them to contribute efficiently to the nation’s tax system and financial landscape in the years to come.
