LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – Sixty-four municipalities in the Cordillera region and five police stations in Baguio City recorded zero crime incidents from July 30 to August 5.
The Police Regional Office-Cordillera reported that 23 wanted persons were nabbed in manhunt operations last week.
Zero crime incidents were recorded in 23 out of 27 municipalities in Abra, six out of seven in Apayao, 11 out of 13 in Benguet, four out of seven in Kalinga, 10 out of 11 in Ifugao, and the ten towns in Mountain Province.
Out of the 10 police stations in Baguio City, Police Station 1 (Naguilian Road), 2 (Camdas), 4 (Loakan), 5 (Legarda), and 6 (Aurora Hill) recorded zero crime incidents.
The Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division (RIDMD) said the Benguet Police Provincial Office (PPO) arrested 15 wanted persons, followed by the Baguio City Police Office and Ifugao PPO with three each, and the Mountain Province PPO and Kalinga PPO with one each.
One of those arrested was the No. 3 Most Wanted Person (MWP) on the city level in Baguio City for the third quarter of calendar year 2023.
