Taguig LGU congratulates students for winning in math, robotics tilts in Singapore, Germany
The Taguig City government congratulated six students who won in math and robotics competitions in Singapore and Germany.
“I’m both proud and amazed at our young Taguigueños’ immense brilliance and potential!” Mayor Lani Cayetano said in a Facebook post.

She added, “Congratulations to our students who won medals at the 19th International Mathematics Competition (IMC) in Singapore held on August 2, and to the Cayetano Science Robotics Team for winning at the 28th FIRA RoboWorld Cup and Summit in Germany last July.”
“This is a testament that our LGU is on the right track in supporting our youth and the education sector,” she said.
According to the city government, at the IMC in Singapore, hosted by ITE Central (Institute of Technical Education Singapore), three students from the Senator Renato Compañero Cayetano Memorial Science and Technology High School won medals.
Kalel Elijah Lontok won a gold medal by emerging as the overall champion in the Grade 7 Level category.
Grade 10 student Stephanie Kyla Malazarte bagged a bronze medal while Elaiza Mae Ojo, also a Grade 10 student, received a merit award.
At the Federation of International Sports Association (FIRA) RoboWorld Cup 2023 held in Wolfenbuttel, Germany, the Cayetano Science Robotics Team, representing the Philippines, won awards.
George Lean Tizon bagged a gold medal in the Cliffhanger Heavyweight category and silver medal in the Mission Impossible United Countries.
Gilleene Jazz Luyun won two silver medals in the Cliffhanger Heavyweight category and Mission Impossible United Countries, and a bronze medal in the Cliffhanger All-round Heavyweight category.
George Angelo Tizon received two silver medals in the Mission Impossible United Countries and Cliffhanger All-round Heavyweight category, and a bronze medal in the Cliffhanger Heavyweight category.
“This is a testament that our LGU is on the right track in supporting our youth and the education sector,” said Cayetano.
