Entertainment journalist and social media influencer G3 San Diego has defended celebrity couples ace comedian Vice Ganda and his partner Ion Perez; and former Senator Vicente "Tito Sen" Sotto III and Helen Gamboa, saying she found nothing wrong with their acts on national television recently.

However, San Diego said that the Lord's Prayer, which trended after drag queen Pura Luka Vega shared the remix version of the song to his fans, should be respected.

"I'm a big fan of drag. I go and watch drag shows regularly with my friends. But I'm a bigger follower of Christ. For me, there are things that should be kept sacred. And that is the Lord's Prayer," San Diego said.

San Diego shared her opinion on the alleged "indecent acts" of Vice and Ion, and Tito Sen and his wife Helen on live television.

"Napanood ko yung clip and I saw it online and I didn't see anything wrong with it. Tapos yung pinag-side by side, the one of Vice Ganda and Ion; and Tito Sen and Ms. Helen, para sa akin, both couples are married," said San Diego, during a media conference for Season 2 of the talk show "TikTalks" held at Relish Restaurant in Morato, Quezon City on Saturday, Aug. 5.

"So I think they should also be held to the same standard because principally, they are both married. Hindi ko kasi nadi-distinguish yung isang couple from the other. Para sa akin, pareho silang kasal. And that's what I think about it. I didn't see anything wrong with either. I saw a clip. I wouldn't say harmless. Wala lang sa hitsura ko pero conservative rin ako. I'm family-oriented so traditional yung mga beliefs ko. So when I saw both clips hindi naman ako na-offend in any way," San Diego said.

"There really is a double standard (in terms of being married) and I think we're still a long way in finding the perception of the same kind of marriage. Kasi para sa akin, kahit anong couple man sila, pareho lang siya sa akin kasi ang basis naman ng lahat ng yan is love.

"You love each other and when you love each other, you have a show together, the love will come out. Magma-manifest yung love nila sa isa't isa and it can be in a playful way. Ganun naman ang dynamics ng mga mag-asawa lalo na kung comedians. Talagang may kapilyuhan or kapilyahan sometimes but that's not far from any dynamics of a married couple," San Diego added.

Recently, the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) called the attention of Vice and Ion following complaints about a segment that allegedly depicted indecent acts by the hosts.

The MTRCB cited that the scene in question allegedly violated Section 3 (c) of Presidential Decree No. 1986, which governs the proper classification and review of television content. A hearing was set at the MTRCB Office on Timog Avenue in Quezon City last July 31.

In the case of Tito Sen and Helen, the couple became the target of netizens when they kissed on "E.A.T." last July 29.

But MTRCB chair Lala Sotto said she did not find anything wrong when her father Tito Sen over kissed his wife Helen on national television.
