Shabu worth P116,000 seized in Bacolod

BACOLOD CITY – The City Drugs Enforcement Unit (CDEU) seized 17 grams of suspected shabu worth P115,600 in a buy-bust operation in Purok Sigay, Barangay 2 here on Thursday, August 3.
 

Arrested was Dino Paolo Chavez, 24, of Barangay 2.
 

Police Capt. Joven Mogato, CDEU head, said they received information about the suspect’s alleged involvement in the illegal drug trade, prompting them to launch the operation.
 

Also confiscated from him were the P500 marked money and P150.
 

He is a street-level individual, according to Mogato.
 

Mogato said that based on their monitoring, the suspect was allegedly into the illegal activity for several months now.
