Man falls to death from Quezon condo rooftop

ATIMONAN, Quezon â€“ A 29-year-old man died after he fell off the rooftop of a condominium in Barangay Zone 2, Poblacion, this town, on Thursday night, August 3.

Police identified him as Clifford Carbonel, 29, a resident of Barangay Angeles, this town.

Police said Carbonnel sneaked into the Bethel Condo 3, owned by Bernadeth Lim, at about 10:30 p.m. through the fire exit ladder. He destroyed the aluminum door on the rooftop.

Tenants on the third floor said they heard someone open the aluminum door.

Police theorized that Carbonel accidentally fell from the rooftop, hitting the ground head first.

Fifteen minutes later, he died due to head injuries at Dona Marta Memorial District Hospital.

Police eyed robbery as the motive of Carbonel in sneaking into the condominium.

Probers are conducting investigation to find out if Carbonel has a cohort.
