Senior citizen yields P680,000 shabu

CANDABA, Pampanga – A senior citizen was arrested and suspected shabu valued at P680,000 was seized in a buy-bust operation conducted by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Barangay Pare here on Thursday, August 3. The PDEA identified the suspect as Ernesto Cruz, 63, of Barangay Vizal Santo Niño, this town. Authorities said Cruz was a recidivist since he was imprisoned for four years due to drug pushing. The suspect yielded a medium plastic wrap with magazine and tape containing more or less 100 grams of shabu and the marked money. The operation was conducted by PDEA-Central Luzon through the PDEA-Bataan Provincial Office. Cruz faces charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
