QCPD nets P563,000 'shabu,' 13 drug suspects in buy-bust ops

The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) seized P563,000 worth of alleged shabu and collared 13 suspects in a series of buy-bust operations conducted in the city on Thursday, Aug. 3. Members of the QCPD Drug Enforcement Unit  (DDEU) operatives, led by Maj. Hector Ortencio, arrested three suspects identified as Robert Pajarillo, 48; Russell Sagon, 42, both from Brgy. Libis, Quezon City; and  Merly Neblasca, 41, a resident of De Guzman St.,  Marikina City. The were nabbed inside a house on Mejia St. in Brgy. Libis at around 7 p.m. on Thursday.  DDEU operatives conducted the entrapment operation after an informant reported the suspects’ illegal drug activities in the area. During their arrest, the police confiscation from them 50 grams of shabu valued at P340,000, two cellphones, and the buy-bust money. (Photo from QCPD/ MANILA BULLETIN)  The QCPD Kamuning Station (PS 10) nabbed three more suspects identified as Jericho Sitjar, 21, of Brgy. Pinyahan, Quezon City; Via Pogonia, 24, of Barangay Payatas B, Quezon City; and Danny Paez, 28, also of Brgy. Pinyahan.  They were arrested in a drug sting at 3:30 p.m. on the same day at D-164, Brgy. Pinyahan, Quezon City. Confiscated from them were 1 kilogram of shabu valued at P120,000, a cellphone, a backpack, and the buy-bust money. The Masambong Station (PS 2) also arrested Karen Labordo in front of a house at No. 9 Tinaduan St., Brgy. Masambong, Quezon City at 6:45 p.m. Seized from the suspect were three grams of shabu valued at P20,400, and the buy-bust money. Meanwhile, the QCPD Novaliches Station (PS 4) collared Ronald Lababo at 7:40 p.m. on  Florentina St. in Brgy. Gulod, Novaliches, Quezon City and Daren Naag at 11:30 p.m. at Ramos Compound, Brgy. San Bartolome, Novaliches, Quezon City.  Recovered from them were six grams of shabu worth P40,800 and the buy-bust money. The Cubao Police Station (PS 7) also arrested Alain Roque Rosal at No. 20 Pariseo Alley, Brgy. San Martin De Porres, Cubao, Quezon City, and confiscated three grams of shabu valued at P20,400 from him.  QCPD Project 4 Station operatives also seized P1,360 of alleged shabu and arrested Crispin Menzon and Lester Amit on 19th Ave. in Brgy. San Roque, Cubao, Quezon City, at around 3:20 a.m. Members  of the  Project 6 Station (PS 15) under Police Lt. Col. Richard Mepania arrested Junard Maestre in Sitio Militar Ibaba, Brgy. Bahay Toro, Quezon City at around 9:53 p.m. Confiscated from his possession were three grams of shabu valued at P20,400, and the buy-bust money. All the suspects will face charges for violation of Republic Act  9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office, QCPD stated.
