Pasig LGU recognizes outstanding barangay peace councils for 2022
The Pasig City local government recognized the best-performing barangay peace councils in the city during the "Lupong Tagapamayapa Incentives Award (LTIA)" on Aug. 1.

Barangay Dela Paz's peace council placed first place for the third consecutive year, from 2020 to 2022. They received the P150,000 grand prize, and an additional P20,000 for operations and maintenance of the peace council. The Dela Paz peace council also represented Pasig during the 2023 Regional Lupong Tagapamayapa Incentive Awards, wherein it got the second highest rating for the Highly Urbanized City category.

The second place went to the peace council of Barangay Santolan. The council has been in the top selection of the awards for the past four years. It was given cash prizes worth P100,000, and P20,000. Barangay San Antonio (BSA) ranked third place, earning the peace council's very first award for the LTIA. It received P50,000 and P20,000 as cash incentives.

The other barangays were also given the P20,000 incentives for their peace councils. The awards were conferred to the barangay officials and peace council officers by Mayor Vico Sotto, Vice Mayor Robert "Dodot" Jaworski Jr., Rep. Roman Romulo, and Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) - Pasig Director Visitacion Martinez. The LTIA annually rewards the efforts barangay peace councils for facilitating peace and order in their area, resolve conflicts and cases between residents. The assessment criteria for the awards, according to Memorandum Circular No. 2023-022 of the DILG, include efficiency in operation; effectiveness in securing the settlement of interpersonal dispute objective of the Katarungang Pambarangay (KP); creativity and resourcefulness of the Lupong Tagapamayapa; area or facility for KP activities; financial or non-financial support.
