Maid nabbed for allegedly stealing P4-M cash, jewelry in Las Piñas
A housemaid was arrested by members of the Las Piñas City police for allegedly stealing cash and jewelry worth P4 million from her employer on Tuesday, Aug. 1.
Police identified the suspect as Rosanna Salvadora, 31.
Investigation showed that Salvadora’s employer, identified as "Ysa," 56, claimed that she found her cabinet was open and the vault inside it was missing when she got home.
The employer said that when she asked Salvadora about the missing vault which contained the cash and jewelry, the maid said it was in their dirty kitchen.
She added that the vault was forcibly opened, and the cash and jewelries inside were already missing.
Salvadora was arrested and detained at the Las Piñas police custodial facility as a primary suspect.
The police filed theft charges against Salvadora.
Further investigation on the incident is ongoing.
