Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Director for Broadcast Production Cris Villonco said this ahead of the second "Konsyerto sa Palasyo" on Aug. 6.

In a statement, Villonco said the "Konsyerto sa Palasyo: Para sa Atletang Pilipino" will feature "powerhouse vocalists" like The Voice France Season 8 four-chair turner Aivan Mendoza, who performed for President Marcos and First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos when they met the Filipino community in Switzerland in January this year.

Other artists such as Chloe Redondo, Emman Buñao, Jopper Ril, and Kevin Traqueña will likewise perform. Beatbox artists Adrian "AD BEAT" Ferrer and Neil Rey Llanes will join the roster. Special performances are also expected from the champion a capella group PINOPELA from Baguio City.

The line-up is completed by the high-energy professional dance group Douglas Nierras Powerdance.

"The featured performers have mostly had viral videos on social media and were chosen for their remarkable talent and artistry," Villonco said.

According to Villonco, over 300 Philippine athletes of various sports will be part of the audience with the First Family on Sunday.

"Konsyerto sa Palasyo: Para sa Atletang Pilipino" is a project of the Office of the President (OP), the PCO, and Radio Television Malacañang (RTVM). It will be broadcast live over the Konsyerto sa Palasyo Facebook page and RTVM's Facebook page and YouTube channel.

The event will start at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 6, and will be exclusive for Filipino athletes.

The concert series, which debuted last April 2023, is an initiative of the OP to support the creative industries, especially after the Covid-19 pandemic.

According to Villonco, the program aims to search for new and emerging artists who are excellent in their respective fields and give them a spotlight in the "People's Palace."
