* SEnA, according to DOLE, is a form of conciliation-mediation intervention program which gives speedy, impartial, inexpensive, and accessible settlement procedure for all issues or complaints arising from employer-employee relations to stop them from ripening into full-blown disputes. Based on the statement from the labor department, around P173 million in claims were provided to the laborer-beneficiaries who were assisted in the first half of the year. Laborers had availed of various monetary claims such as underpayment of wages, maternity claims, non-payment of 13th-month pay, holiday pay, night shift differential, service incentive leave, and overtime pay, among others. It was reported that the largest amount of claim was recorded in May with a total of P103.5 million given to 1,136 laborers, while the least amount was recorded in April at P 1.7 million, benefiting 96 laborers. Additionally, the DOLE helped with the distribution of the following financial awards: P43.7 million to 887 affected laborers in March; P11.8 million to 405 individuals in February; P8.1 million to 221 laborers in January; and P3.9 million to 159 laborers in June.
