Parañaque LGU holds 'Bestida' fashion show for 'Wikang Pambansa'

The Parañaque city government launched the “Bestida” fashion show in celebration of “Wikang Pambansa” on Tuesday, Aug. 30, at the Ayala Malls in Barangay Tambo.

Mayor Eric Olivarez said fashion designs by known designers in the fashion industry were paraded by Ginoong and Binibining Parañaque 2023 candidates and winners.

Known fashion designers who joined the”Bestida” fashion to showcase their designs were Anshari Alonto, Mary Ann Casanova, Tippi Artadi, Andrei David, Christina Dandan, Erika Calubaquib, and JM Tendella.

Aside from the fashion show, the rich culture and tradition of the city and the country were showcased in the folk dance performed by the Kulturang Kayumanggi composed of students from Parañaque National High School-Main and through the Parañaque City Band’s playing of selected Filipino folk songs.

Olivarez expressed his appreciation to the designers who joined the fashion show and for making the program a success.

He also thanked beauty titlist Mrs. Universe Philippines 2023 Arlene Cris Damot; Mrs. Universe West Pacific Asia 2023 Betchay De Dios; and Ms. Queen of the World Philippines candidate Toni Rose Piñero and the the winning candidates of Gandang Mamita 2023 for gracing the show.
