In a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday, Aug. 30, the Japanese envoy showed off his recent purchases—packs of dried mangoes, dried pineapple, assorted fruits, and banana chips.

He even showed himself sampling the banana chips.

“Japanese ‘konbini’ stores offer more than just nice yet affordable Japanese food! Just now, I was able to buy dried mangoes and other delicious fruits from (the Philippines)! So amazingly delicious!,” he wrote.

“Konbini” means convenience stores.

His post, accompanied by hashtag #AmbKazEats, also included a photo of a Japanese bento and a packed plate of maki or sushi rolls.

Japanese convenience stores are known for their wide array of affordable and delicious food options that locals and tourists alike can simply take home and heat up in an oven.

Even travel influencers have repeatedly discussed their appreciation of Japanese convenience stores because they provide an easy access to on-the-go foods.

This is not the first time Kazuhiko showed off Filipino goods while in Japan. He also earlier posted about finding Filipino condiments and canned goods in Don Quijote, a famous discount chainstore that can be found across Japan.
